Youth Earn $134,450 in
Scholarships & Awards at Iowa State Fair
The Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA) presented $134,450 in scholarships and awards to youth who participated in 4-H and FFA beef, swine, sheep and poultry projects Saturday, August 21, prior to the Sale of Champions at the Fair.
The ceremony included the presentation of 97 scholarships with a value of $117,250, as well as 90 performance and carcass awards valued at $17,200. When tallied with the Sale of Champions receipts, the IFAA provided $409,150 to young livestock and poultry producers to sustain their interest in agriculture and encourage related careers.
